…by the cupcake bug. On the recommendation of the Crafty Girls Michael and I went to the Cupcake Parlour today.

I came home to look up some recipes on the Cupcake Bakeshop Blog and we head to the supermarket tommorow.

Next I will need some of these.

(Camera update: could be a week away yet!)

Oooh I love the Cupcake Bakeshop blog too! Looking forward to seeing what you bake. For me one of the best parts about baking cakes and cupcakes is the decorating (and licking the icing bowl of course!).

That blog really does it for me!!! I aspire to do a cupcake bake-a-long. Something to wet the whistle for 2008? 🙂

thanks for the comments, and great baking finds, i love those loaf tins, vintage ones seem to be of a heavier gauge than modern ones. bake-along – now i could commit to that!
Thanks for the hint on straigtening circs in hot water, I’ve done that, and it works kind-of, but buying good circs needles like Addi turbo’s seems to be the best solution. Those ones never kink and are super super smooth. The Innox – have a bend towards the end of the metal section, and they flatten/flare where the cord joins on. That flare causes a thickening and so the needle is bigger there and the stitches snag-every-time. Lots of on line people sell Addis, Kangaroo in the Uk sells to nz, and her shipping is only 70 pence, she ships in a sturdy envelope and they get here fast.
